Or should I say reliably? Thanks, Brett.Good question, and one I have been trying to find an answer for as well. Before I spend $700 + on the boost pipes (such as the pipes offered by DiFillipo) I want to know when the stock piping becomes a restriction.Anyone running 300+ rwkw with the stock piping?M6 XR6T,Seems as though no one knows. Anyway what are these boost pipes that you talk of?Do they replace the stock units or something, and $700 sounds a bit exy!Brett.D & T in Wangara sell DiFillipo HPC coated pipes. They replace the inlet pipe running from the airbox to the inlet of the turbo compressor and the charge pipe running from the outlet of the intercooler to the throttle body. Results as per attached dyno sheets. I made a point of having the AFR's printed on the dyno runs for those that are interested. With the stock intercooler the car made a base of 209rwkw, now the base is 228rwkw. That's a 19rwkw gain with the intercooler only. 10psi program made 255rwkw.Running 12 psi boost, with the bigger injectors and the Street Tuner Intercooler (stock exhaust, valve springs, intake box, stock manifolding) the car has now made 288rwkw. I initially thought one of the flash tunes was a 15psi tune, alas it turned out to be only 12psi. There's more power to be had in both the 10 and 12 psi programs by getting the AFR's to around 11.6:1, and adding a little more fuel where the run starts. That's something that will be addressed next week.Next week the SMB 4" dump pipe and 4" cat will be installed, and car retuned to see what results can be expected. I'm afraid to say I may reach the limit of the engines internals with the mods I've done running 1 bar boost pressure Time to start planning for valve springs, conrods and pistons Edited 01/07/05 01:49 PM by M6 XR6T

How did you run it stock with injectors installed? did you remove them? Its still the wrong shoot out mode to dude, I think it should be 6F Did u use this dyno for how the car was stock initially? If so that's a nice healthy increase that's for sure well done

I don't own one, so I'm not qualified to comment on the different shootout modes. But I will add this - I've seen bugger all difference in power between shootout and non shootout mode with my car. The power runs weren't planned - I just stopped by to see a mate and he wanted to run the car up.What is relevant is the 3 power runs done in succession between the stock boost, 10psi boost and 12psi boost programs, within 15 minutes of each other, allowing 4 minutes between runs to reflash the PCM.Great results IMO. And there is a difference in the shoot out mode from 6 to 6F, try it.. No they dont all read the same .. all though they should lol

Not stock calibration.I would say he has a tune that's safe for the bigger injectors but only runs stock boost pressure. I have much the same tune but mine makes stock power on less than stock boost levels.

I've installed bigger injectors to make more power, not for cosmetic purposes.I have 3 programs in the flash box:F = Factory1 = Stock program recalibrated for bigger injectors only2 = 10 psi custom program3 = 12 psi custom programWill spend all next week developing a tune for the SMB 4" dump pipe and SMB 4" cat to complement the Street Tuner front mount intercooler. While the development is being done I'll be sure to have PSI or D & T run the dyno in every different mode to see what the difference is.And no, the stock injectors will not be reinstalled. We'll use another MkII 6 spd for that.

I have done EDIT with Injectors and getting 266RWKW, I want to install this intercooler and exact exhaust combo of SMB pipe/cat to factory centre muffler exhaust. Will you keep the boost at 12 psi ? Have you or will u upgrade your fuel pump ?
