M6. Is the intercooler crooked? It kinda looks funny. I hope you get good results out of it.

looks like it should be more to the right.... seems off centre.... I havent read the whole thread so am hoping this hasnt been asked before... u said it took 5 hours to fit.. did u fit it yourself or did you have help? thanks

Yes, it is off centre, (but not crooked, camera doesn't do the pic any justice) but that is due to the A/C condensor pipes being in the way. As the core is thick it cannot be mounted central to the car - but neither is it meant to. The offset is more pronounced than the the factory intercooler (which is also off centre) as this one is larger and not painted. Personally, I don't think it looks much different to the F6 installation.

It took me around 5 hours to install, but to do it again it would take half the time.

Good question, and one I have been trying to find an answer for as well. Before I spend $700 + on the boost pipes (such as the pipes offered by DiFillipo) I want to know when the stock piping becomes a restriction.

Anyone running 300+ rwkw with the stock piping?

I have a customers typhoon running over 300 rwkw with stock piping. that's not to say its not a restriction, some dyno time soon shows what parts are the restriction.

D & T in Wangara sell DiFillipo HPC coated pipes. They replace the inlet pipe running from the airbox to the inlet of the turbo compressor and the charge pipe running from the outlet of the intercooler to the throttle body.

Having spoken to a few mechanics I know I'm having custom stainless steel pipes made at a fraction of the cost.
