Hi guys, left for work this morning and it was more than a little cool, so I decided to put the heater on to warm things up a tad. Anyhow after about 5 mins it was still bllody freezing , no heat with either A/Con or off :spoton:

A/C works but only for cooling , I have tried every combination on the aircon and can only get cool/ cold air. So it appears that the temp dial thingee is on the fritz.

Just wondering if there is anyone out there who would know if it could be something else and is easy to fix , as I really dont want the Chimps at Ford pulling stuff out of the console and creating rattles if not necessary.

Also there are no coolant leaks or any water in the footwells

Thanks

Edit. Around 100m from leaving home there was a single beep from the dash, no warning lights etc.. dont know if this is related

Hate to say this but.............. my heater core (behind the dash) shat itself when my car was but a puppy. It order to fix it, they have to remove the dash. I am not prepared for this to happen until I sell the car as I don't want any rattles! So, the heater pipes were just kinked and cut so no heater.

Besides, it doesn't get cold enough here in Qld anyway.

We fixed Aaron's heater recently, however I don't think it was a temp issue, it was a direction issue. Thought id pipe up anyhow and share the fix. Hope it helps.

There was a shaft that connects what the techs call a "HIM" to the actual ICC, the shaft had snapped. Unfortunately, I dont recommend you taking this job on Jewels, it isn't a 5 minute fix. Best be getting your friendly dealer to have a butchers hook, and attempting to properly diagnosing it.

I think that the new BA's also don't come with the good ol' heater tap anymore, which makes things harder again..... :spoton:

We've got a nice silhouette GT-P out on the lot at the moment, got them ultra sexual chocolate 19in FPV wheels, I heard the heater is a cracker in that one too....
