Posted 29/05/05 12:58 PM Share Posted 29/05/05 12:58 PM and I agree to disagree as edit is not used to change parameters exide is and I will leave it at that<{POST_SNAPBACK}>The one thing I don't understand is this. If I'm not sure what is being done on my car regarding control of the cars computer, how can you know. Geea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I have a partial edit with the tuning being done by the Xede. Torque protection removed and rev limit increased with the edit. This may alter in the future but I know that after driving the car on Friday it was amazing. I still like the idea of having a switch for the different maps. I'm contemplating using the edit to lift the base tune to 270rwkw's and then using the Xede to set the different maps. I'll have a chat to HPF and get their thoughts.so craig this is why I know whats been doneto sum it up the car is tuned by xede and capa edit removes torque protection and increased revs<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Ok Brad, to sum it up you're wrong. Here is the post and a link to it.Wasnt a good night by any standard. many delays due to oil on the track, Craig never made the 10's, missed again by few 100ths, and Jeff did a rod in his donk at around 3/4 track. Call the tow truck Not the results we were looking for <{POST_SNAPBACK}>sad to say the least towed and sorted!!!craig you keeping the car off the road another week????or had enough???<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Spent the day with Rob @ HPF. We have decided to go back again next Friday. I've organised with Jeff to have his C16 and will have the car tuned to this. The car has been running VP 109ron fuel so this should give a little more power. Rob's also going to have a chat to Danny (HPF edit tuner) and see if he can get some more power down low. Rob believes that if we can drop the 60' times we should get 10's easier. I'm currently getting 1.80 60' and he feels this is letting the car down. Traction isn't an issue with the MT Street tyres I just need to get out of the hole quicker. In the mean time it means that I'm driving around in a clapped out Mitsubishi Colt. It's better than walking, but only just.Geea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...ndpost&p=255250Geea.

I doubt I would have made it to the 10's if I'd needed to change to 4th.Geea.

We talked about what we could do if I wanted to go quicker. One of the options was to use the 3.73:1 diff gears out of the Territory. We used the drag calculator and figured I'd be doing 6400rpm in 3rd @ 130mph. Rob said this should lower my 60' time and bring the rest down with it. I have no plans at this stage to do this. Geea. And your birth certificate while you’re at it? And also what did you have for breakfast on the day? Who did the wheel nuts up on the left-hand rear tyre last time it was changed? What colour jocks were you wearing?FFS this is unreal, the man has achieved greatness and yet there are still clowns questioning and splitting hairs. It doesn’t really matter how or why it happened – but it did. It won’t be long now until the character assassination commences.Great work Geea; just ignore all the crap (or delete it for that matter) and bask in the glory.Trent.
