I have not had a major problem with any so I have not had to call on for after sales service. With regards to technical difficulties or phone advice it depende on who is on the other end - if they know their craft they can diagnose your problem before you complete the symptoms list and provide a solution quick smart <{POST_SNAPBACK}>No offence to any one who works for Ding Dong Dell but they don't seem to have those sort of folk on the other end of the phone.Just trained monkey type of job where all they have to do is punch your sympoms into their computer, and the soultion database gives them a list of.."Try turning the PC off and back on again" type solutions.... Failing that it then decides what parts to order and when they arrive, a dude collects them and comes to install them into your dead laptop in a effort to revive it.Most times when they arrive they say something allong the lines of "oh that's the problem, these parts wont fix that, why the hell do........" etc etc.

But desktops are a totally different beast to laptops, and infact Dell make very good desktops. I would have no problems spending my own money on a Ding Dong desktop. But never a laptop. But you can never trust anything I tell you, because I am the same person who baged out the F6 and told mercturbo I wanted to buy his GT. Yet now I drive a P76....no wait that didn't come out right.
