Most of the guys in Canberra doing it have it as their sole income source - the bounty for dobbing a dole bludger in this town witht he high population of public servents meant most got queried very quickly.

I've had the windscreens on one car scratched by your employers mate Falchoon a few years back - and he was doing it without my consent *grumbles*

The Renault confused one though, the wiper arms lift in the opposite direction - again another unsolicited guilt trip inducing freebie...

Has anyone see the Northbourne/Barry Drv guys skanky woman? *laughs* we saw them havign a row on day - VFF :)

Yes well, this windscreen washing thing is someting I've warned the forum about in the past. So here it comes again .. don't say you weren't warned. Apart from scratched screens and broken wiper arms there have been cases of broken side mirrors and scratched duco from people leaning across with keys dangling from their belts etc.

And then there's this ...

As far as I'm concerned they can :spoton: right off.

My arms aren't painted on, I'm capable of doing it myself.

The council should give them a job painting street numbers on gutters or cutting street trees or whatever else actually needs to be done in their local area. Bring on work for the dole.

This window washing  is no different to beggers. One came up and scared the absolute :pooh: out of my missus the other dayat our local shops, actually opened the door of her (my) car and asked if she had a $1.50 (she was there by herself). He was there the next day and she pointed him out to me, so we had a little talk about what he should be doing with his days and whereabouts he should be doing it.

Leeches. It comes down to the whole "life is what you make of it" thing. Not everyone that had a bad childhood end up a :pooh: wit drain on society.

Anyway, for those of us out there with a job, just incase we ever forget why we punch in every morning:

I dont live in the city so I never see them, but I reckon aslong as they dont run up and start washing your windows without your consent I wouldnt mind.

aslong as they see if u want it done first... good on them for getting off their asses!

Prob is here in canberra one of them will do it no matter how many times you tell him to "F' off and your car alone"

Every so oftan you see him missing for about a week on end and will then respect the word "no" for another couple of weeks (I wonder what happened???) :hammerhead:

As a matter of fact, I have! They do make a stunning couple! :tease:

He's the fella who's also cleaned my screen a few times when I've indicated a definite 'no thanks'. I've actually seen some drivers get out their cars to abuse him!

Will never, ever let 'em do it to me again. I felt sorry for one of the buggers in Charles St, Perth one evening and gave him $2 for nixs. He insisted on doing the windscreen and proceeded to put a very fine arc of a scratch on the passenger side from top to bottom. Pissed me off for weeks afterwards, every time the sun caught the scratch.

Lightning....
