Up to 5000 the graph was stronger than an xrt which has 265rwkw. Every thing I've read so far say's 240-260rwkw seems to be the place where the springs run out, that's a long way from 223. I wanted to acheive 245-250rwkw but if I have to go to the effort of the springs I will go the injectors and pump as well and aim for 300 odd. The car has 5100 very hard k's so it should definatly be loose enough.any one else have the spring fail at such a low rwkw figure. Some T's have higher thresholds than others. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/17415-valve-springs-wtf/#findComment-249948 Share on other sites

Whats really important are the start and finish numbers. What did it run stock ?? I realise a dyno's arnt equal but other t's on this dyno have made much better numbers and have backed up and pulled almost exactly the same numbers on other dyno's. The tuner or his tools arnt in question here, just the springs Edited 05/05/05 12:28 PM by turtle33 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/17415-valve-springs-wtf/#findComment-249955 Share on other sites

The first call I made afer I got off the phone was to my dealer because before I signed on the line, he assured me the mk2 hade been fitted with the "heavy duty" springs. I knew he was lying I seen his lips move. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/17415-valve-springs-wtf/#findComment-249972 Share on other sites

Posted 05/05/05 12:44 PM Share Posted 05/05/05 12:44 PM My valve springs have bounced a couple of times, and my car is stock! Now correct me if I'm wrong, after giving it WOT onto a main rd the lights changed and I had to stop, the car started to shudder, almost like it was running on 4 cylinders. I called Nizpro and explained the event, and was told that it was most likely valve related. Had the ecu checked and it hadn't thrown any codes. It has done this three times and only when applying wot, and changing manually at around 5700-5800. Mine does this occasionally too. But only when I got a bit of a jungle juice mixture in the tank ie A bit of Vortex, BP Ultimate; BP premium; Optimax.
