Thanks for all the feedback Jetute. So if my injectors are maxing out is it going to be worth going for a custom tune (with standard injectors and springs as I cant afford that right now). I mean I dont want to pay all that money for a CT and not have much difference in power.

always worthwhile going for the custom tune... however, I would wait till you can get the funds together for injectors and v/springs...this way you avoid paying for two custom tunes.

Im in the same boat with my new car... I will not get a custom tune until I get the injectors fitted (and intecooler). Till then I will only run the 8psi map to be safe (occasional 10 psi map loaded in :glad: )

I regapped my plugs today, as already mentioned it did reduce the surging, but it's still there (slightly).

Temperatures are startin to drop to a nightly minimum of about 23C, and hopefully we'll get 15-16C min over the 'dry season' so that might help!

I think I'll get the cash together for injectors and 'cooler then hope somone up here (Darwin) can custom tune me! :banghead:

Also not to mention the tunes are probably mapped in colder climates and just don't gel with the heat of Townsville let alone Darwin.

try a little bit less gap you may have a slightly weak coil in there letting you down. Go down to .7, you won't lose any power. If it doesn't help then just go back to .9. .9 is still quite a large gap on a turbo car. 1.1 gap is really way too large a gap because as the cars get older and the coils become less effective, even on 5 psi cars will probably start breaking down (ignition not literally) a bit.
