Test Drove Typhoon With Clutch Fix 13.76

g-tech has been known to be within a tenth or two..

as for the clutch pickup point, I don't know y ppl are whinging coz they be too high???

In most "performance" cars, it's high to save time on the distance to travel till it takes up. If it's down the bottom near the floor, u loose a bit of time without forward motion.

My last car, u just had to breath on the pedal for the clutch to engage, makes for sum very quik changes once your used to it...

at least the FPV may have listened to joe public, or visited joe forum and taken in what we have been sayin..

Can anyone explain why with the traction control off, the enigine felt like it was cutting out when I changed gears quickly? I had to check that the traction control was off??

Is this some sort of drivetrain protection written into the PCM?

I'm pretty sure that while researching the edit, SCT found that the throttle body would close during shifts as a form of drivetrain protection, and its used as a part of torque reduction at lower revs too.

Manuals are supposed to drop boost between gear changes

Yeah, clutch will take a few hours to get used to, and your right once your used to it, it will make it easy to change gears quickly, you gotta love the 6 speed cause you will find the gear everytime. My mate took the gtech to calder and tested it against the boards he ran a 14.20 and on the gtech it said 14.25. so pretty close, also where we tested the typhoon was a freeway and it was a flat surface.

These cars once run in will be weapons.

Hey guys just test drove a typhoon with the clutch fix and the computer flash, well from the first time I drove it when they came out I have to say the car feels so much stronger and quicker. My dealer friend and I connect the gtech to it and went on the freeway. To my amazment with my and him in the car both at 100kg each we managed a 1/4 time of 13.76 @ 105mph on a gtech, I didn't get the 0-100 to busy looking at the window of how fast this thing was picking up. I am pretty impressed now and will be placing a order in for a Shockweave Typhoon. THe 13.76 was done with a crappy lauch not the best launch u could do, but the clutch is so light compared to my T, everyone just stares at the car in shockwave anyway. Then we tryed again not to bad launch but had to back of cause the car infront was coming close and we managed a 14.2 backing-off before the 1/4 finished.

WIth one person in the car and a better launch there is a 13.5- 13.6 in this car for sure, just judging from the way it just pulled.

Imagine in AUto form these cars will be illegal hheheh.

Why the Hell does everyone seem to think the Auto's are quicker ???

because it takes time changing gears unless your very fluent at it? that's my guess..

because it takes time changing gears unless your very fluent at it? that's my guess..

But it takes Valuable Horsepower to driver the pumps etc in the Auto...

Usually loose a good 10 to 15KW throught the Auto box... and the auto's ask the engine (Torque tagging) to back off the power and boost when changing....
