I don't live at the race track, and most days I only get to drive around 60kmh, so its pointless agruement that auto's are a smidged quicker on average, cause at normal speeds on the road they get hosed my a manual on roll-on!  :spoton:  Shorter gears, direct drive, and more HP at the treads.

(That would still whip a comparable manual driver's insecure ass any day)

Not with the comparable difference our bathroom scales reveal, the weight difference would offset any gains! I'm a jocky by comparison! Power-to-weight!

Ouch....that hurts Al - notice I said comparible! :fool:

I've got those talking bathroom scales; it usually says "one at a time please" whenever I use them though.

How about that typhoon clutch fix hey?

Trent.

Sorry doode, I should have said built for comfort not for speed. :fool:

I disagree with the comment above about manuals quicker on the move im yet to see any manual T come ever close to my car at all on the move or not no matter how good a driver you think you are you will never be able to stop the car from losing boost in a gear change

sorry its a little of thread back to the F6 bucket :fool:

And like an Auto will keep up boost during a change....

The Auto is too busy dropping of the fuel and retarding the the timing to be worried about trying to keep boost up when it's in "power down - change gear" aka Torque Tagging mode.

Spoken by a man who hasn't driven an auto with a boost gauge.

Yeap I think it would be, as the current VZ Clubby does the 1/4 mile in 13.61.

Will be interesting reading in the next issue of Motor Magazine where they will test drive the Phoon again.

Oooh! I can't wait for that result! Crisso will be most unimpressed...! OK, he loves his new VZ Clubby (I've had a drive and can't say that I didn't like it!) but it'd still be great if the Typhoon pulled a faster 1/4 mile! :nono:

Hey guys, there's already been one warning. Keep this on topic or don't post. Next post about auto vs manual will see this one shut down ...

If you want to revive one of the 1001 threads on auto vs manual do a search and post it there.
