yeh seen the story posted by them on myface, and just watched the story on rpm one hd. yeh one maybe more manufacturers that will more than likely come from japan. im tipping nissan and/or toyota myself. no names yet however. sold 60% of the competition for $300m, with teams apparently receiving $4m and keeping 40%. 2-3 more international races.

"The deal will see an ownership structure in place of the championship with Cochrane and teams representatives Roland Dane and Brad Jones forming a board of directors with AMRP representatives Andrew Gray and Brad Lancken.

A separate V8 Supercars commission will be established in June to take over the racing rules, regulations and formats of the championship."

and just had a story about the bridgestone s001's on an audi rs5. sounds very very good, and also re002's on a wrx. might look into these newer tyres from bridgestone a bit more..

But what cars would they enter? Neither have factory made V8 sedans, isn't that a rule or something? How about BMW or Mercedes..

The supercars has turned to sh*t. racing is all about taking what is being learnt on the track and putting it in the road cars. The cars have become nearly identical and we see nothing from the track on the road.

The handling of our boats proves this.

Hopefully Nissan Return's to the racing scene in Australia, I doubt it they will let Turbo 4wd car's back though which is pretty sh*t really as the 80's/90's with the Sierra's and GTR's were the best and most exciting racing we have ever had IMO, if you go onto youtube and type in bathurst 1990 there is some great footage...

Imagine R35's in this day and age of racing though, it would be a wicked sight to see...

R35s there would be no competition by the time there stripped and prepped for the track.

R35s in RWD? Might be a bit fairer, and RWD is more amusing. Or at least when burn outs were aloud.
