Hello everyone.

Quick question. I'm in the Melbourne area and I was wondering if anyone could reccomend somewhere that can give competative quotes for custom tunes and exhausts.

Competitive? Not really, but here are a couple of well regarded tuners you could try:

Nizpro - Bayswater

Horsepower Factory - Dandenong

Go into the sponsors area and you will find some details on these guys and a few others

Check out what is included as part of the Big Vic Weekend too.

I am sure a track day is part of the program.

Probably sandown as it's central in the eastern subs, try and get a few instructors in to give some pointers/tips and that then let people go. Have a street course with time trials and prizes plus a few open/drift laps for those that don't mind risking there wheels if they slip up. Mabey even a rolling dyno and finish with a cruise. I know it sounds alot like big weekend but I'm talking a fair way off still in the researchin stage.

Just wondering if anyone is interested in doing a Sat night cruise up the Dandenong Ranges that included a dinner somewhere at one of the dandy eating establishments up that way? TUFXRT6 brought it up, and it's his idea, at the lunch break on the previous cruise.

Hi Guys,

TUFXRT6 and I also discussed doing a Mt Baw Baw Run awhile back and I actually tried it out just before the ski season opened. Wouldn't do it during Winter of course :roflmbo: but I was thinking of slating it for October. It's very good. I caught up with a WRX and Audi at the top and had some fun tagging along with them going back down.

Here's a vid to give you an idea of the scenery.

Princes Highway up, left to goto Neerim, then right at Yarra Junction and onwards towards Mt Baw Baw. Brief stop before getting there at the old Trestle Bridge for a photo op, before catching our breathes for the run up to the resort through some magnificent twisties. Coming back is just as thrilling and then we head straight through Yarra Junction onwards towards Noojee. Some fantastic sweeping bendies at 100km/h between Yarra Junction - Noojee. Take a left to go through Gembrook to bring us closer to the start point or just go your own way home - whatever's convenient. All up about 250km.
