Damn eh? All cause the collision detection stuff farked up..

The yanks have it right though.. They don't rely on fancy detection equipment.. They have people in control rooms monitoring intersections/tunnels etc and they can manual redirect traffic if there is an accident..

Might also explain why they are in so much debt.. Frickin expensive to pay people to work round the clock watching TV's

if they did it would be based on safety, they have allready had drama's in there in the past, there are plenty of other ways and roads to get around on though

so what did we do before the tunnels?

I think you will find, that human life is probably a little more important to the people running the system, than peoples appointments or schedules

That may be so ratter (actually it is so).. However some people really do think that their schedules are more important than every other bastards life..

Been on a few road works sites in my time and we get alot of long haul heavy vehicles that just ignore signs or portable signals and assume just because it's a western road chances of encountering a car coming the other way are slim...

Had one B-Double take out 5 cars waiting at a traffic controller only about 3 weeks ago because he ignored all the road works signs as he was in a 'hurry'..

The way the world has gone is people will increase the risk taken disproportionately to the time saving.. Eg: they'll double or triple the amount of risks they take to cut 5-10% off the time of their daily commute..

It's nuts..
