Hi lads. Who is the bet insurer for our modded cars? Just got an online quote from just cars for $1900. Agreed value of $28000.

Heard alot of people on here say they're one of the best on insuring the turbos with all mods, and others mention they're absolute pita to deal with if you have an accident. Shannons have been highly spoken about if you have an accident, but can be costly. I rang them up last year to see what they'd charge, the moron on the other end just laughed and said I was too young..

Coles insurance they advertise as a guaranteed $100 cheaper if your'e with AAMI and a few others but forget which ones..

Otherwise I'm with AAMI and they're not too bad, with them as the folks are and was cheaper and started off 1 rating better straight due to folks being with them.

Who is your house with? Maybe see if they do a package if possible?

I personally think your car is worth a bit more than $28k, but that's just me lol

Every panel beater I know says use Racv,

Just car will insure your modded car but won't cover the mods themselves, no increase in value over stock.

I've used aami, can't complain but will try Racv with next car.

I had to make a claim with just cars when I hit a too years ago where fine prompt service choice of repairer etc

However had maybe 3-4 cars insured with them over the years soon as I hit 25 and got my Ford they where like 700 a year dearer so I rang them and said what's the go yadda yadda loyal customer etc

Their like we basically only insure the uninsurable people and to just go with whatever u can get cheaper so that's what I did nothing against them but no loyalty on their behalf I just shop every year online for new insurance online is normally cheaper then if u ring up also saved 200 on my mrs insurance just by checking it online when renewel came gave them reference number and had to honor it same company so figure that , they go cut throat online to get the business and try and wack it up after a year haha my experience anyway oh btw currently with Gio

As above was with justcars.. But noticed no decrease in price when I hit 25 with a very modified subaru.. Went to AAMI, all mods covered with an agreed value set by me was still around $500 cheaper then JustCars..

Thanks guys. Currently a lease car which is up soon so I will obviously buy it after that. Buy out is 17k. Happy days. My house is with AAMI so may try them. Didn't know they did modded cars. I want to be honest as these fckers will find any loophole not to pay out. It will be like u said you were running 22psi and we measured 23psi so we r not paying. I find they are quick to take your money but when it comes to paying out its usually a nightmare. I want all my mods covered. For example if I have a front end accident I want another Nizpro cooler, not a std one back in. I also want close to 35k agreed value. I have time so will start shopping around. Thanks for the info guys.
