Which track would you goto in Victoria? What do you do on a track day?

So, straw polls so far (not a committment to do a cruise/event but an expression of interest in possibly doing a cruise/event at some time in the future):

Please feel free to add in new options as you see fit or register an expression of interest.

I'll post up some ideas for a route around the Castlemaine/Daylesford area. I've been to Hepburns Springs to collect free mineral water from the pumps and could be fun to do as a pitstop.

hmmm, maybe http://www.wintonraceway.com.au/

I would say the best option would be to have a non passing track day to minimise the risk of panel damage if someone got a rush of blood to there head and stuck there car where you were turning in :innocent: .

we could have a limited amount of cars on the track to do timed laps for 20 minutes per group. How it would work would be if you catch the car in front of you you must slow down as you cant pass but after slowing down you should still get a quick lap in.

After the rounds you keep dropping the slowest guys until there is a final (fast) group on the track shooting for the fastest lap title.

Obvously you would try to group all the modded cars together from the start so there is not a massive diference in performance between the cars on the track.

At the end of the day you could have a trophy for fastest lap modded car and stock car.

what do you all think?

Hi shockF6,

I've sent an email off to them to ask them what we have to do to organise a track day there at Winton.

Anyone reading this who has organised something like this before, please let me know.

Not massively keen on a track day as my factory brakes won't hold up...

But a cruise to Castlemaine/Daylesford I'd do...

I know there's a DECA event on in Shepperton on Sunday, 28th May 2006 that could be worth checking out. A friend passed the invite on, you need a CAMS approved license and need to be part of a club. All can be purchsed on the day for approx $150. The DECA website: http://www.deca.com.au/Index.aspx :pinch:

The other thought for fun I had for current season conditions is organising a Go-kart GP at Auscarts (http://www.auscarts.com.au which is pretty good or at Acekarts out-door track in Sunshine (www.acekarts.com.au/).

Just some further thoughts considering there very limited that can be done on public roads etc

My two cents worth anywayz.....
