I'm down as a 75% chance for this. My roster is about to change at work but I don't know when or what to.

I'd connect up with you in Wonthaggi though..

I sussed out part of the route for the Wilsons Prom cruise over the long weekend. Did the Melbourne to Loch to Wonthaggi to Inverloch part and it is a real beauty :spoton: Nice and bendy with views of the hills and the ocean that are awesome. :spoton: And not another soul (well perhaps the occassional one :crybaby: ) in sight as it was on minor roads (but fully sealed and in good condition) between Loch and Inverloch.

Wonthaggi is a great stop for a BBQ lunch. So we might do that and have a late start 10am instead of 9am on the Sunday.

I'll post up a new thread soon. Still thinking of doing it on 1 April unless I see we can get more numbers on some other date. And still looking for posts of interest to do this.

Has there been a Vic XR6T track day?

I think that would be fun to have a crack at.

I was thinking Winton Raceway might let us do one at a reasonable rate. Spoke to some blokes at work today and Calder and Sandown might be a little expensive and/or have residential noise restrictions on the weekends. I don't know - haven't spoken with any of the 3 track owners yet. I'll do some more investigation on it - but by all means, anyone keen to work harder on this one, please let me know what you know or find out if it will help us have a track day.

Gary Nizpro organized a couple of track days last year, in the guise of John Bowe driver training.

The driver training was (theres the track boys don't hit anything)

You could do as many laps as you wished!

Give John Bowe Driver Training a call I reckon it's a cheap way of having a drive day.

Last friday I enjoyed a competition prize of a long lunch with bowe.

He mentioned the trining was done on a circuit.

I might ask him and see if he can put together a training/track day?
