When entering the competitors will post there cars power and make and model so we can put them in diffrent classes, as a shootout and will progress if they can drive

Why don't you run DYO? Pretty hard to cheat that system and easy to manage. It also means everyone who attends gets plenty of runs.

Heathcote raceway GM has been emailed, so I will wait to see what his response will be :)

Russell Clarke is a crook and a *beep*. Rodney Jane isn't that much better but at least the track is safer.

He will offer a private track day for cheap the day before a test n tune but be careful as this will be on an un-prepped surface. The other alternative is to run on a test n tune day in a separate category.

HSVOC along with Harrop are having a private drag day at Calder this Saturday I think. It's only going to cost about $80 for a car. IMO this is the best tactic to take. Get all the forum sponsers to chip in a couple of $$$ to help contribute towards the day and for trophy's and I think you could run a very similar day. Particulary if it is an 'open to all car event', then I think Calder would be very attainable.

Just my 2c

Tony, ford forums already does a ford drag day at heathcote. If you want tips on what to do. How to organise etc search their forum. It's usually a very big turnout. An it's usually a fri night / sat event. Most camp the night.. It's heaps of fun.

Can imagine how fun it would be watching a few members here off their guts on the night. Lol

As for style of racing its practice first. Then dyo. That way a 8 second car can race a 11 second car and it's upto the best driver really. and there is categories. Which is based on time brackets. Like 8 to 11.99 is one class. 12 to 14.. Etc.

I went a few years ago which is when I ran my 10..
