LOL icers tyre excuse on boosted falcon

Postby *Beep* » May 7th, 2011, 3:53 pm

My runs were gay though. Warmed up the car before the run with a few squirts up the road. By the time I got on the dyno the tyres let me down. fricken soft tyres. 397rwkw, 385, 373...blah. Oh well lesson learnt. Got to get myself a set of stock rims and tyres at 45psi! and friken more e85 as I almost ran out! Massive turnout though!

lol ratter seems like you flicked the mixer on hahaha

That ford pcm is raping timing out of that something severely, or done some damage to it, that is a pretty big drop. that's with a airbox and plenum too, geez...lol

Maybe he'll come on and say that's his valet tune....LMAO. His still gonna need another 1000rwkw to crack a ten.

He obviously doesn't realise that his convertor is robbing dyno numbers. Realistically it would be well over 400rwkw (at least on the first run)

I dont comment to often but just reading and could not resist to write something...

397-373rwkw that (varies) to 420+ kw's is a massive difference. even on a freezing cold day, good luck in the summer time. definatly needs a intercooler upgrade, bigger isnt always better :)

also maybe the other dyno is happy? (no offence). but convertors do rob power.

Believe it or not ET street's will sap about 20 to 30rwkw on a dyno, they just dont like it...

Same thing happened to a mate, the more dyno run's it had and the hotter the ET street's got the lower the dyno figures got, changed tyres to normal tyres and the car jumped immiediately back up to where it was supposed to be at...

I dont know why you would even go to a dyno day without proper road tyres anyhow...
