Phoon Hoon

I have read a many posts bagging Ford and the T. Now it's hit the mainstream press. I want to know: would you buy a T again?

No they should've had the bugs sorted before they released the model...not happy paying for loan cars to be a guinee pig.

not at 33 bucks a day.....go test your models b4 u release em.

Or supply free loaners for warranty issues fairs fair.

Sorry to seem put off but everything from bodgy alarm instal to stripped sump....battery died 2 weeks before 12 months causing alarm probs...warranty...NOT,  :glad:

I love the car but Ford service leaves alot to be desired.

Sounds to me like your issues are with a certain Dealer, I've had these sort of problems with many Dealers of other brands (Nissan, Subaru, Holden,) I just moved on to other Dealers until I found a decent one, rather than stand around arguing with the :pooh: ones.

One brand I never had problems with Dealers was my 2 Mazdas, cause nothing went wrong. My T would be next in line, hardly any issues, just lucky I guess. :spoton:

BTW, some of you are really a bit over the top, whinging about fitting a pram in the boot. :glad:

I have a 2005 mk2 XR6T and am really enjoying it. No problems, no dramas - goes well. May mod it in a years time, but for now it is fine, and faster than the law allows by a long shot.

Love the T

No probs with it at all, and would buy another one for sure... (prob not from the same dealer...)

The biggest prob I have had with it was delivery dates (dealers fault, if they had only told the truth from day one)

The car itself has run beautifully...

Ive had a ride in 2 "Ts" ( Rumble and Dswiders) and I have a MKII on order due next month.

They are a great car, show me a better performance car that gives you this bang for your buck.

Steve.

Hey all,

OK I was a HSV guy for 15 years. Owned a couple of clubsports and SS. If you think Ford is bad for service try owning a HSV. When they sell it its a "HSV" when they service it or do warranty work its just another Holden.

I have owned my XR6T since Oct 2003 and had a phase 1 mod done in late 2004. I have travelled 42,000 ks and have not had an issue. I get 11.2 ltrs per 100 ks which is 2 ltrs perr 100ks better than standard. I can also match a 285 kw clubsport over 400 mtrs even though the clubby is 50 kilos lighter so I am pretty happy with the car.

A couple of things I have noticed here is that there are good dealers, ordinary dealers and absolute shockers. How about a thread to warn people of the bad ones. Unfortunately the cars quality seems to vary greatly off the production line. This really needs to be addressed by the factory. I dont know if its a case of a Monday and Friday car or what. Another point that I find puzzling is why Ford are fighting the after market mods. The T's power is definitely wound back for marketing purposes. If they supported the aftermarket options with a limited warranty they could do well in the sales and aftermarket stakes. Instead they choose to fight it with flashing of chips and all sorts of crap. They can either join in or loose out. Seems dumb to me.

How many Falcons are built a year???

80,000 or there abouts?

Your bound to have a few duds...

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

It's not the fact that they make a few duds (every manufacture does, that is why warrenties exist), its how they then treat their customers with the duds after the customers have parted with their hard earned cash that people on this site seem to be complaining about...
