Phoon Hoon

I have read a many posts bagging Ford and the T. Now it's hit the mainstream press. I want to know: would you buy a T again?

All I'll say is that while I typing here my 5 year old son Lincoln is in the adjacent toilet singing "Fords are winning F F F, Fords are winning F F F, Fords are winning F F F, no we know what F says.

Whilst ever I walk vertically on this plant, my current T will be the last Ford to ever grace my driveway. I am not only excluding the T but all Ford products, for the following reasons.

My T is a joke. (I know I have probably been very unlucky and got a VERY bad example)

Ford Motor Company lie to you, point blank. They are not honourable business men, and as such, will never see any of my hard earned cash again, and whilst ever I have any say in vehicle purchases at my company, our company will never purchase a Ford. Big mistake for Ford!

They made the bed, now they can lie in it!!

After reading the paper and reading what you guys have said I am thinking of changing my mind of buying a T But then again I hope ford will improve on their build quality. I can't turn my back on a T because I am so close of getting one and been wanting one now for the pass 3 years so I think I will take a risk and Hope I get a good one.

We have two T's, Miss Alys has done 47,000 km and my ute has done 16,000 km. Only had one thing go wrong with Alys car (crank positioning sensor). We have found them to be excellent cars. The only trouble I've had is with mods nothing to do with Ford.

Remember a car is only as good as its DEALER!!! and take the Dunlops off it , the difference is amazing.:ermm:

Do you have $50,000 spare cash lying around? and if so would you be prepared to risk this amount of money on a roulette wheel in a casino.

Odds are you have more chance of winning at the casino, than you do of getting a good T, that has NO problems. And by that I mean, none of the usual problems that people tend to overlook or call "character"!

Your money, your decision!

Good luck with it either way! :spoton:

Lets face it - Australia makes the best value 4 door muscle cars on the planet. (Mustangs and Corvettes and Monaros are good value in the US)

I have had bad service, warranty issues and poor build quality, but what else can I buy for the price which will do 0-100 in 6 seconds transport my wife and 3 kids and our luggage in comfort and safety and tow a trailer or boat when necessary?

Of well built cars, Japanes cars aren't as spacious and the Germans are unaffordable.

So yes - I'd buy another T. I love it. My other car is an 03 Forester. If my T was built as well the Forester, it'd be perfect - hence my shortlist included a Forester XT - but not quite the smile factor of the T.

Dealer Service? Call me a cynic, but many dealers of all makes will rip you off wherever they can.

I am not a one eyed Ford Man as I know Ford service and attitiude to its buyers are just as bad as the other manufacturers...but I've got 15Ks on my T now and I just love getting in the car almost every night just to go for a quick drive.
