If you have the extra $7000 and still want a great daily driver then got for the Turbo... Personally I think both cars are limited when it comes to reliability after serious mods and I wouldn't waste big amounts on the NA when I could go buy a Turbo that will blow its nuts off from the the showroom floor... As for NOS who really bothers with that neways, anyone who loves there cars and is looking for real performance won't touch the crap as it can certainly isn't the key to overall performance. Getting back on topic, Faygun either go to Jim Mocks or Herrods and get a full system plus a unichip, you will be suprised at the results you get when the car is properly mapped with fuel etc which should be achievable with around $3000 if you do your homework.... As for brands I really couldnt advise however a Dynotune of before and after is probarly the best indication of making the right chioces. If you want hardcore power though I would save your penies and buy a new MK3 Turbo at the end of the year as getting any decent performance out of an NA is limited to how thick your wallet is. Aaimi offers you a 50% discould if you increase you excess to $2000 now that's totally worth it I believe, mine would of been $1800 a year otherwise. Guest Guests Posted 25/04/05 03:51 AM Share Posted 25/04/05 03:51 AM Head back up the page guys the orignal question in the post, faygun asks about,I am planning to get a set of extractors and an exhaust for the N/A. What brand do people recommend? I dont really want to go for lesser quality brands as I have had some issues with idling and crap extractor sounds under hard accelarations before with a particular brand. Also, I am hoping to get CAI. Which one is better Xr8 one or the extra CAI into the air box now? Here a lot of you T owner are talking BS about insurance, selling your N/A, $ Vs Mods and performance and all our friend wants to hear about is extractors and an exhaust. Try your best to stop cutting down the N/A drivers.
