If I understand correctly they are going to give all typhoon owners a play station 2 with a copy of GT4 for all the trouble.

They should be sent out 2 weeks after the clutch fix.

I think that since all the cars where sold in 2004 we should get new build plates starting from the date of the fix at least it will help with the resell value.

And we should get a rebate for insurance and reg from date of sale to date of fix and an extra 1 year warranty.

This is what I will be sending a bill to fpv for as why the hell should I pay for there stuff up.

Cheers

Agree with you there, I was wondering what happened with insurance and rego, find it a bit unfair if your not reimburst for that.

Dazza.

Legally FPV would get trounced in a civil action, simply because of what all the pre release hype promised.

I think they have taken too long for the fix to come through but its here now and new clutches, pressure plates etc are heading to the workshops as we speak. I got a GT to drive, but if I'd been given a focus or a fiestia I would have screamed very loud and I would suggest that anyone who was puts the bite on for some compensation. To me the bottom line was, once I got over the fact that I had bought a TEMPORARY DUD, edit the ba jesus out of it and fit some bigger injectors, then the clutch falied again from the temp fix  .

I like the edited version so much, I am about to order another one. I think this will very soon be forgotten as there is also a new computer upgrade coming that will give them a little bit more. :o  :spoton:

If phoon owners are driving around in new GT's I dont see the probelm. You're putting K's on someone elses car and when you get yours back it will be brand new.

When my car was in for warranty I had a focus...

This is of course, unless you want to mod it straight away.

It is an FPV upgrade for the computer and will be done to all Typhoons sold as their clutches are replaced. :pooh:

I was told it is just a reflash. No extra/new components. and will be done with clutch replacments. It is designed to give owners more 'juice' in FPV's words. I am not sure exactly how or what they are doing. this info would be great if anyone could get it.

Yep it will take the injectors from 99% duty cycle to 100% and next all the F6 owners will get new motors to match the new clutches :spoton:

I just hope they get ti right :w00t2:

New Poll posted. Would like your feedback on if you feel that FPV Typhoon owners should be compensated for this clutch issue. I know being a Typhoon owner myself and being given a GT to drive around in for the time being, i still feel that it isnt good enough. Especially after paying out that much extra over the XR6 Turbo. I could understand if it was some intermittent thing, but unfortunately for the majority of us Typhoon owners it renders the vehicle useless.

Though driving the GT is a nice alternative it is not what i paid for. If I wanted a GT i would have bought one. I want to be driving my own car and not someone elses (dealership vehicle or not).

Im interested in your feedback. I dont want to sound hard done by, but feel that FPV owes us just a tad bit extra..

NO now hurry up and fix the wide screen option!

:spoton:

So do I thats for sure. I already lost my cool yesterday with the dealership over them wanting the GT back and putting me into a focus.. though thankfully after my dummy spit i should be back in a GT today.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I'd be tellin the fkers to come and get it if they wanted it, unless they were putting me back in the Typhoon. :w00t2:

Did they give you a reason for wanting it back? :w00t2:
