Went to the dealer today and they fixed my heater, replaced something and had to take the entire dash apart to do it. Got it back and of course I had to re-adjust everything. Took the Nuford sticker off the rear window. Looked and I had 50km or so less fuel than when I gave it to them. Kinda edgy by this stage... took off and it just didnt feel right. Pulled over, adjusted some more... seat, steering column, mirrors. Right, comfortable now... took off again in first... didnt seem to pull as hard as usual. Changed to second... no usual whining noise that occurs when accelerating, not as much power. Hmmmmm not real happy.

What can I do to find out what they have done? I know they'll deny changing anything, but what if they reduced my power to reduce the load on the gearbox? I complained about it whining in second so they could have a look at it, but they said "they couldnt replicate and hence no further action".

I have no idea what to do.

Try checking all the hose clamps and stuff.

The dim wits at ford might have done something there and forgot to tighten them, but I wouldnt rule out another reflash either.

Not quite sure but it wouldnt surprise me.

The real proof would be to run your car down the 1/4 again and see what mph you pull, that should give you a good indication.

Yeh I didnt mean your ET.

I meant your mph, if you pull under say, 155 kph then you know something is definately wrong.
