Though, I'm told by my dealer that the fabulous all-singing, all-dancing, practically bullet-proof paint protection I ordered will allow me simply to hose the car down to remove the dirt.

It's got to be the Mercury Silver. The blueprint is good, but I feel like I've been seeing it for too long now having seen it on the AU. Acid Rush a close second for mine.

And the Narooma Blue is a colour I actively dislike. It's not TOO bad on the XR, but put it on the XT and it manages to make the car look cheap.

I'm of a similar opinion actually - I think in some light it would make an XR look cheap as well.

I can guarantee Phantom, although will be hard enough, (wifes fault, I wanted Blueprint), will be easier to clean. Most of my cars have been dark in colour: Dark Blue, Polynesian Green and soon to be Phantom but Silhouette? Nothing is harder. Get the mirror polish happening to perfection and it's a magic colour but way too much maintenance to keep clean.

Still Phantom No. 1 & Blueprint a very close second, Agree with the Narooma Blue comments as well. B)

My last car (AU II XR6 Ute) was silouhette. I will never own another black car. It looked magnificent when it was clean, but the bloody thing looked terrible the next day. My new XR6T sedan is in Acid Rush, my fave. My second choice would be blueprint, then venom. Mercury looks to be more of a fairmont / luxury color to me. Phantom......too dark, and I saw one recently in direct sunlight, which put me off it a bit. Dark colors tend to look better in the shade, IMO.

Phantom first and Mercury Silver second. The Phantom looks more sporty I think. But the silver is very classy.

I'd been thinking of placing an order for the car in phantom, but after reading the comments to date re keeping the car clean....I've now changed my mind....

I'm tossing between Acid Rush & Venom....& Venom has the edge at present (particularly seeing how not to many are interesting in this colour & I'd like something a little uncommon!)

Anyone seen what Venom with the Venom & grey cloth interior looks like? Is it too much red?
