remyb Member 20 Member For: 19y 11m 15d Gender: Male Posted 17/04/05 04:18 PM Share Posted 17/04/05 04:18 PM I’ve always been a Expensive Daewoo man although my dad worked at ford but recently I purchased an xr6 turbo and I have to say I’m now definitely a ford man, love the car its awesome, I have a few questions thoughI herd the official 0-100 stats are 6.0 in an auto, is this trueI have dragged an vx ss (225 kw which I should easily beat (on a private drag strip of course) but this wasn't the case I was wondering on some advise how to propel the xr6 turbo from 0 to a 100 in 6 flat ??Should I hold down the brake whilst I rev a bit?? as I’m finding the ss kills me on take off as the turbo hasn't kicked in yet please let me knowCheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Make sure you hold the brake real hard so the car doesn't move and listen out for wheel spin (reving too high). Doing this will allow the car to launch much closer to the turbo kick in rpm and will get you going faster.
