Yeh if you are racing the car or driving it on a normal street what difference is it gonna make to how the car performs? If you are driving the car to its full potential then racing it down a drag strip wont make a difference. The cars are designed to be driven to their full capability, if they weren't designed this way then they wouldnt be so damn powerful and expensive.

Hmm I wonder what happened.

So let me get this right....

Ford, Holden, Subaru et all promote their cars as performace 1/4 mile demons and in Subarus case Rally Winners and Ford and Expensive Daewoo race bred winners and then deny warranty if you use their products as their advertised or promoted???

Isn't that kinda false or miusleading advertising?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yes and we also know where cars sales men sit in the pecking order, don't we ?

Somewhere around real estate sales men and lawyers....

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Salepeople don't make the rules, they just sell the things.

That's right, it would be Ford's Marketing people who work out what angle to advertise .. I.e as Perfomance machines...

Who are marketing people ? Sales men who are even more deceptive...

I doubt if it was the turbo blowing. Years ago I had a turbo 6cyl Cortina and I blew the turbo while accellerating at about 180km/h (private road of course ) and there was massive amounts of smoke coming out the exhaust (like Summernats burnout comp x10). No debris but a bit of oil mess, drove the car home.

Warranty after l;oading a 10psi map, caning the crap out of it and admitting it was detonating (pinging its *beep* off etc).

that's crook - real crook, every time one of you fools does that, or encourages someone to make that kind of claim you're making it harder for everyone with legit problems to get claims through. Do you think that Ford is going to honour driveline claims in the future if half of them are morons running high-boost maps/piggys returned to stock?

Pull your head outa your bum, if you play, be prepared to pay. Take responsibility for your actions and live with them.

*ponders* I wonder if there's a reward system for dobbing warranty fraud like there is for insurance fraud......

Just so you know you're not alone, I'm with you. Not sure how many of us there are though.

:msm:

How can one modify a car under warranty, damage it and then expect Ford to repair it as if it was their fault?

You get what you deserve. Wait until warranty is over before making modifications that can affect warranty otherwise live with the consequences.
