An absolutley excellent job by Matt on my switches.

Arrived with Matt on Friday installed back in the car Monday.

They look fantastic, as good as bought ones.

Sat in the garage in the dark for 15 mins to check them out.

Beware if you get it done the back ones don't illuminate if you have the child lock on. That had me worried for a while.

Haha yeh that had me worried the first time, then I thought it was a cool idea so the ppl in the back know when they are switched off.

Are you finding that all Mk2s have illuminated switches already - but are in white?

I put a blob of blue glass paint on each LED - and looks like the ones you guys are doing.

Yep the Mk II ones are lit up white, same as the fairmonts. The blue paint is a good idea and easy to do :spoton: Just gotta keep an eye on them cos those little LEDs can create a bit of heat so the colour may fade over time.

Steve, when you do this mod, do you add the additional pin so that the LEDs dim with the dash lights or do you hard wire it off the 12 volts?

Yep it gets the additional pin to each switch, this allows you to dim them along with the dash light circuit in 3 stages.

The new ute style led upgrade will be powered direct off 12v due to the non 4 electric window cars not having the wiring in the door for the illumination. And also the switches are not set up to have illumination from standard.
