I probably should have sleeved the wires between the LED's and the resistors but I dont think I'll have any problems.I hope to upgrade the drivers side switch to a sedan version in the near future anyway. The laquer is very strong so you shouldnt have any problems with shorting on the un protected wire. What colour leds did you use? I have 440nm wavelength 3mm leds here which are the same colour as used by ford if you want some let me know.Matt

A little while ago the drivers side switch started playing up, so I was glad I didnt get it modded as it would have voided warranty on the switch. I had the drivers side switch unit replaced under warranty - imagine my surprise when I turned the lights on that night and the switch lit up! I'm wondering if the unlit switches are no longer stocked - I think all the BF's are now illuminated? Now I just need to change out the other 3 doors. They might not be blue (they light up white) but much better than no lights at all!Mook..

There was at one stage when all XR's were getting illuminated switches. But it looks like they have stopped doing it again from what I have been hearing. If you want them done in blue let me know.Matt

I was thinking now I might put a couple of em under the cci fascia to light up the tissue box and then a couple more under the tissue box to light up in there. Then to finish up ill look at putting a couple of cold cathodes up under the drivers side dash and the passenger dash to light up the footwells.
