XXXR6T, I've dowloaded the info sheet you put up there (brilliant BTW!)

Just wondering if it's the same for Ute's without Premium Audio? I've managed to get most of the bits together and I'm just about ready to give it a go, however I saw in another of the earlier threads about it that without prem audio there was a reverse in polarity or something???

Can anyone shed some light on this?

From what I can tell there is no difference with premuim audio, it was thought that this couldnt be done with the standard audio but the pics I have seen are the same as my switches.

As for utes... I havent seen the circuit boards yet so I dont know if it can be done. I think mainly because there are no fairmont utes so the window switches would be purpose made for the utes with no lights.

Good luck with it!

I am not sure how this relates to Utes, but keep in mind that with the Sedans the requirement for Premium Audio was because the wiring loom that came with Premium Audio, provided the additional wire in the plug for power feed.

This is why you had to add an additional PIN in the switch socket.

My recollection was that those Sedans that did not have Premium Audio could not have the Switch lights working unless you ran an additional power feed external to the existing wiring loom.

Again....not sure how / if this relates to Utes.

I hope Steve doesn't mind for posting this however I think Steve is saying that he is willing to do these for people who will send him the switches by mail and he will "illuminate" and test them and return them via mail.

I for one sure am doing this - Steve the switches and LEDs are in the POST - EXPRESS POST!!! :spit::spit:

By the way - removing the switches is no hassle - takes two minutes :w00t2:

Negotiate with Steve the price - I supplied the LEDs (Jaycar in Wollongong still have some blue SMDs on SPECIAL @ 6.95 for a pack of 6)

Can't wait :spoton:

The way I do it you dont need any extra pins & it wont matter whetrher it is a ute or a sedan. Each switch has its own pos & neg so you just solder an smd led & resistor across them-or for the single switches one smd resitor & 2 leds.
