I Love The Blue Ovel, But It Hates Me

F'N Ford,

Went to the dealer late yesterday, got to love those guys, with a rear brack light not working. Just needed a new one, after running my plates through the computer my good friend tells me a new screen came up. He'd never seen one like this before and he'll tell you they put Blowers into XR8s and never got this from Ford.

My cars been moved a level above black listed to (music if you please) THE RED WARRNING SCREEN. No warrenty on any an all parts of this vehicle from now on. Even if the windows/lights/radio/heater/ashtray/seat belts, or what ever stop working its all because of the NOS. And more so Ford dealers are not to carry out any repairs to the vehicle for any reason paid for or other wise.

Wave the Blue Flag and be kicked up the ass for it.

My friend tells me that they'll use other regos for me so don't hang myself yet + he's going to try to get me moved down a level back to motor and power train only.

It maybe time to make a fue calls to your local dealer guys to find out if Ford have put the knife into any of you yet. But I'd only call through trusted friends because a sniffs all they need.

Having said all that I understand 100% that mods like mine are seen as over the top by Ford (drive train wise and I'd never fight that) however there are dealers around playing with boost and fitting other fun toys, are they setting up their customers for the fall from Fords good graces, when the cat gets out of the bag?

The blame for me (I think) comes from the Ford dealer in Goulbourn NSW who did a sh*t job on the hand brack rubbing problem and machined the front rotors instead. After which they grassed me out to Ford and said theres a NOS set up in the vehicle. (strange to rat on me when they like to tell people and me, how close they are to CAPA or was that just some crap to try to look big in front of the guy with the XR6 on NOS) All that was almost a year ago and I was on the black list for power train after that that visit (I'm no fan of Goulbourn :bringiton: Ford). But where the Hell did this up grade to full vehicle come from?

Heres hoping the rest of you are safe, good luck. :gasthrower:

I think the service from Ford is absolutely disgusting to say the least. I won't buy another new ford from any dealer again ever. They have a excuse for everything. especially the dealer in sydney city and head office. CRAP CRAP.

this will get deleted probably.

All Ford dealers are cracking down on these issues. I had the same problem with my ute so I turned around and told them to F :msm: K OFF. I didnt need their stupid warranty. Apparantely they were at Eastern Creek when I was drag racing it. :msm:

No, not all Ford dealers.

Myself, or any of the Service advisors/managers that I work with, have never ever come across this "black list".

I would be interested in obtaining a VIN # from a car that has supposedly been "black listed" and run it through the Ford system.

NOS,

Ford cannot black ban your entire warranty. It is against the law and they would loose if you took them to task.

While they would have no problems proving NOS caused driveline damage, if your wipers, ICC, etc. stuffed up they MUST prove that the NOS was a direct cause of the ICC (whatever) not working.

I guess you are lucky you have a mate in Service. I removed all my mods so I do not have any future issues with warranty as my car will need warranty work over the next 5 years.

I was packing it when I had the VCT incident on GIMLI. Lucky it was fixed under warranty but I didn't go to my usual Ford dealer's service depo. to get the work done. NO WAY!

It was only minor and clearly a problem the mods would not have caused but the time it happened, we knew FOMOCO were getting a little harsh on moddes vehicles.

Spot on ... Ford would soon see themselves in court if they tried this on - I think your service guy is pulling your leg (certainly got his hand on something down there!) - maybe trying to make himself look good to you so you won't go to any other dealer for service.

What's your VIN?
