Guys, you need to understand these cars. You cannot compare each others cars. The tolerances in each T can vary up to 40rwkw from car to car, we know this through proof.

Reserch the forum, read the topics in the history of this place, you can only measure you individual gains against yourself, no-one elses.

DRKXR6 your car may not have been run in properly, there could be a number of reasons, temp, fuel type, last service whatever, but rest assured as you have been told when you remove the next two limitations your car will improve.

When a few of us first got piggybacks, we were seeing differences of 20odd rwkw in each car. Once again valve springs, some people have had to change them at 230rw, some 250rw, me 260rw and some others 280rwkw, see my point?

Only measure your gains against yourself. Dyno it on a cooler day and you will see a different reading. MrTurbo did his on a hot day when he put in injectors and hardly gained anything, the point is there are so many variables.

Give it time, and your next mods, you will see a different story :spoton:

Gees - didnt realise how many KW in a hp. though - the Cobra is sh*t your pants fast, about twice the power, half the weight of the Turbo. Only problem is the Cobra runs on Avgas and does 4 miles to the gallon, so, not terribly useful to go to work.

I am really enjoying the Turbo - best of both worlds.

but if I change the valve springs and injectors he garentees me 270 rwkw! but would that mean I have to upgrade the auto? will it do damage if I leave it?

While mine has had 3rd gear damaged, (thanks to my 3rd gear burnouts X 9 @ Willowbank,) with over 250rwkw's it isn't mandatory to break the auto. There is a certain GOLD bar with well over 70,000k's on the clock, probably more modded k's than anyone else here & is still running without a hitch, only an added cooler & frequent oil changes done, this car now has around 280rwkw's & has had over 250rwkw's for two years now

so is 231.9 low or normal??

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I wouldn't worry about it. If it wasn,t for the fact that other HPF tuned cars are reporting 9rwkw more than you you would,nt have given your new found power another thought.

Lets face it how often would you use the additional 9rwkw given that it probably only comes in @ around 5500 - 6000rpm.

If you are thinking of another tune I would be looking for more power down low(refer JB,s recent results) that's where you do most of your driving.

My car has had 240rwkw and has been dropped back to 228rwkw to provide for an additional 30rwkw @ 3000rpm which imo has made for a better driving experience.

Enjoy :gasthrower:
