I'm not sure about more plugging than sponsors but I have noticed a lot of members posting positive feedback about HPF. As far as I know HPF have done none of this work for free. They have done the custom edit tunes at a good price initially, this was done for their benefit as much as the customer as they needed the cars for longer to make sure they were done to thier usual high standards.I have paid for all the work done on my car and have told people were I had the work done and what as I have been very happy with my car. I wanted other people to experience the same. You might be wrong as far as HPF not being a sponsor aswell. CAPA are now a sponsor and HPF are the Victorian distributor for the CAPA flash tuner.Geea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Not discounting the fact that everyone has had very good experiences with HPF and that it's also quite fair... It's quite simple really, you're doing a fantastic job of marketing the HPF brand for them... it's so god damn consistent too. HPF. HPF. HPF. HPF. Saying HPF are a sponsor just because CAPA now support the site (which is great) is a bit of a stretch too. Somehow I doubt that HPFs cash flows even indirectly support this website, as a distributor they carry a number of brands and CAPA is just another badge on their work overalls.I guess what I'm saying, is try and tone down the rhetoric just a little, it's a little stale and seems very polished... Besides all the new EDIT customers are doing a good job anyways...

I tried to let people know that there were alternatives. Various Unichip dealers have customers supporting their work, except for Geeseman I would say that all are just normal customers sharing good experiences about their cars. The reason my posts appear polished is that I'm intelligent and put a bit of thought into what I post. The spelling isn't always 100% but I try. The reason my posts are consistant is because my experiences have also been consistant. I have yet to have a bad experience with my tuner. I have posted detailed posts on all the mods on both my cars with 1/4 mile runs to back up any numbers. I have done this so that forum members can make educated decisions about their own mods. I have tried to share my modding experiences to make it easier for those following to mod their own cars. Here are a few links to threads I have started to inform people of my progress. I haven't posted this for my benefit as I get nothing out of it. I've done it to try to help out other T owners.THREAD 1THREAD 2THREAD 3THREAD 4THREAD 5If you think I'm doing promotions your wrong. All this us versus them retorical bullsh*te is so old it's not funny. IF the different tuning shop's feel that they wish to donate and DO actualy donate that is entirely up to them and would be appreciated by the majority of us. The only thing that bother's me is (no offence intended Geea) those that believe the fact that CAPA are sponsor's means that every other shop that uses there product is now also sponsoring the forum.CAPA have gone out of there way to sponsor the joint and it is them and them only that are donating there money to the forum, unless CAPA state otherwise. Guest mercurysteve Guests Posted 10/04/05 10:27 AM Share Posted 10/04/05 10:27 AM Perhaps some of you good folk might consider relaxing a tad. I too got Edited with positive experiences there (initially 241.3 then touched up again to 246.8rwkw) also, and I went there on the recommendation of respected members of this forum.I hear some of you on the sponsor thing, but good word of mouth is just good luck to HPF, IMO. Anyone else doing the Custom Edit for $1297 and not rushing the job either??? So let em go, they are after all looking after US, the owners. Competition is great and positive experiences contribute to that and fans of their work like Craig, JB, Pashen, George and others help make this site the great one that it is. Posted 10/04/05 10:45 AM Share Posted 10/04/05 10:45 AM I cant see the problem as its not HPF promoting themself's but its the very happy customers that a mentioning them as the forum members that seem to be happy with the results that HPF are achieving for them and are sharing it with us, and to tell you the truth were bloody lucky that there are a couple of tuners out there that share the passion in our car's and not just here to talk themselves up,Were on here saying how good the Ford range is and exchanging the good and bad about the product but we dont carry on about Ford being a site sponserHPF seem to have a good name due to the fact that they take pride in the work they do and have proven results on the board and have never been in a pissing contest as other tuner's have done on the site,It works both ways the feed back that members give regarding tuners can only be beneficial whether good or bad for us allCYA JEFF

But as far as I am aware, he isn't even a member here.He just lets the figures, and word of mouth do the talking. And hence why he has a fantastic name around here. But I have heard info on the wholesale price of the edit, and its clearly not worth selling without a tune - unless $$$ isnt your main aim. (Maybe you would sell them to get your name out there etc). Your car clearly kicks ass, you are proud of it, and proud of the guys who helped you get there. Nothing wrong with that.I think your posts have tended to be a fair mix of pushing the technology and pushing the people who fascilitated the technology for you.Now take me for a run to the local shops in your car some time will ya!
