Superleague turned me off league too, especially the way they treated the foundation teams. Lost all it's heritage. No more St George, Easts, Norths and booting South's out. Took the heritage and the soul out of the game....

Lumpy

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

St.George are still around, they completely dominated the merge with Illawarra. Name is same, logo same, jersey same, home ground same, colors same.

Easts chose to rename themselves to Sydney - nothing to do with the SL war.

Norths were $4 million in debt when they merged with Manly.

Souths didnt deserve the boot and were rightly re-admitted.

And Mundine is a goose but should be a decent player considering his determination which is well known.

I think Mundine has matured a bit since he has been boxing, especially since he lost a few fights and found out he wasn't as unbeatable as he once thought he was. Why is he wanting to go back to League anyway? Wouldn't boxing be better paid and possibly less prone to injury?

I Hate the *beep*,

I hope he never leaves Boxing, Love watching the stupid, no talent tosser get flogged, My grandfather, who turned 84 today, (happy B day Pop), has just got over his Cancer treatment, and is ready to take on "the Man", he is a little unsteady on his feet at the moment, all the tablets and such, but I think it would be a pretty fair match up, allthough if Choc finds out Pop boxed when he was in the army, in 1942, he may not want to fight him, so lets keep that to ourselves.

Choc is a fukcwit of the highest order, he deserves all he gets and more, if they let him back in NRL, that will be about the lastn reason I need not to watch.

I hope he gets Smashed in May so bad that they have to carry him from the ring, stupid turd.

I think his decision has alot to do with his father being ill, that's just my opinion however, but he does rely heavily on his old man to guide him through his boxing career, and if is unable to be there for him I think his boxing will suffer, he wants to leave a champ instead of leaveing cause he was the champ. that's just my opinion however.

Actually, now that you mention it, there are far less punch ups in rugby league and union vs AFL. The number of fights in AFL seems to be much more from what I see on the news...
