Guest XR09 Guests Posted 19/12/09 10:25 AM Share Posted 19/12/09 10:25 AM Mate that sucksI had it happen before. Luckily on mine it broke the holding lug at the interior release end. There was enough play to pull some more cable though and cut it back till I found the wire and got a pair of plyers on it and presto. But it was not a ford.Hope this helps you out
MaTTe Member 143 Member For: 16y 5m 5d Location: Perth Posted 19/12/09 01:31 PM Share Posted 19/12/09 01:31 PM where is it broken? in the engine bay? or the plastic has come off the fuse box?if its just the plastic and the fuse box you can get a couple of pair of pliers and hold the black sheath for the wire, then pull the wire out and this'll have the same effect as pulling the lever. you may be able to do it by hand.If it's in the engine bay, I dont envy your position. you'll basically be wanting to pull off the stone tray and try to get your hand up from underneath, but even then you need to have an idea of what you're trying to get to at arms reachgood luck

The plastic leaver is still there only when I pull it back nothing happens.. so I'm guessing it's in the engine..Thanks for the replys lol guess I'm going under the car tomorrow

I think a new cable from ford is pretty cheap
