common problem in Ba's ..

was fixed on Bf's onwards I believe

my mate just purchased a ba mk2 xr6T yday, and the boot level was hanging infront of the accelerator pedal

I fixed my bonnet release cable that was broken and hanging down with a couple of well placed cable ties. Strong as a rock now and dont have any issues.

Definately wasn't fixed in BF's. I've had to get mine fixed twice now. Hopefully third time lucky.

yea I had had it fixed like that to but was just wondering if there was a actual fix... will get the cable ties out again in the weekend lol

How you use the lever comes into it too......

The plastic bonnet release should not be pulled straight back....(towards the seat)...

If you pull it "down" towards the floor....it doesnt stress it out as much..

Mines broken twice... I just use pliers now lol

Think I might just make up a little alloy handle cos Im not changing it again!

I just got my car back with the new gear and wanted to check out the pipes and realised the machanic had broken mine off. I cant open my bonnet to check it out grrrrr plus the cable was stretched so I cant even pull on the cable with pliers
