Has happened to me twice, and only when I pop the hood to show off the engine bay. Fraud have fixed it both times under warranty, though that'll be coming to an end in 12 months or so. If it fails again under warranty, I'll get it fixed again and come up with something more "permanent".

Maybe it'd be worth cnc'ing something up.

my bonnet release came out of its slot once when I was opening it... I slid it back in but it comes out everytime you pull it.... at the moment ive got it tucked up behind some other wiring there so it doesnt dangle near my foot while im driving.... I'll get it fixed next service...

I think the heat buggered the release or the slot it sits in... because the plastic is out of shape around the edges...

mines done it and the cable seems tight as now that I've set up the rubber the bonnet sits on so it's straight left and right. gonna get a panel beater/mechanic to look at it and replace the handle/cable. it's $28 trade at coventries

My bonnet release handle came out of the plastic it sits, turns out it snapped the plastic tabs in the housing. Got a new one put in this arvo set me back $170 because it is attached to the fuse box, apparently, and only available from ford. Long story short I tried it at the mechanics worked awesome got home to show the misso and I broke the bloody thing again.

Hahaha gotta laugh about it not much else you can do. Going to see the mechanic tommorrow. Has anyone tried tomodify the factory fittings to make them stronger?

Got the holder fixed again but for free this time, thank god.

My maniac had to replace the actually cable because it had

broken one side on the handle and when I had tried to use it

there was to much pressure on one side and boom broke the

new housing. Hopefully it'll last for a while cause that's $$$

that could have been spent on a 'zorst. All good

the other day I went to pop bonnet to check the normals... and hello broken bonnet release thingy. what do I have to do to fix it... and how much will it cost me roughly..?

and another thing... (don't think I'm a rough guy) lol but in my utes seat the leaver you pull to fold the chair forward has also broken I've had a pretty good look at it in and its like a little white clip has broken. been to ford and they didn't have a clue what the part was - the guy said you probably have to buy the base of the seat for $1100 lol need I say its still broken lol I could go buy 2 seats in leather from a wrecker for that and still have change any ideas? warrants comming up fast and it will fail.

thanks ben
