So good news and bad news.... good news ford got my bonnet release fixed, just slowly f*cked itself over time so they replaced it. bad news??? THE f*ckING CAR CAUGHT FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! someone :buttonit: who relocated my battery to the boot did not use a little grommit to prevent the cable rubbing against the hole in the firewall, so when they pulled the old cable out hey presto sparks and ignition!! :crybaby: two extinguishers later it was out and no damage was caused thank f*ck! I will be out and about tomorrow looking for one to keep in my car just incase. If ford did not start the fire and fix this it could have happened at anytime so im lucky. Just a word of warning to those relocating batterys to the boot :beerchug:

Is it the Cable or the actual plastic assembly?

The cables normally stretch.
