I waited this long firstly because I wanted an '05 plated car and secondly when the car first arrived it was the wrong colour. The dealer added side airbags and the sports steering wheel for the inconvenience. To date, the car has been awesome. I previously owned an Audi A4 1.8T and although Ford's build quality has a long way to go, to get a car with the power and the size of the XR6 from Audi would cost an $150,000 +.I couple of minor points with the car to date:* Knock in the front end when cornering. Turned out that half the front end wasn't tightened properly during pre-delivery.* Low Speed power steering shudder - I will wait until the 3000 service to have this corrected* High speed vibration through the steering wheel - Rectified by Bob jane, simply poorly balanced wheelsStill, all in all, a very happy customer. Once you feel the rush of that 4.0ltr Turbo engine, all is forgotten.Chris Edited 04/04/05 07:08 AM by hueych
Guest mercurysteve Guests Posted 04/04/05 07:13 AM Share Posted 04/04/05 07:13 AM Congrats Huey, enjoy your new ride.I've always liked the Euro sedans, Audi especially, but the mumbo on tap with cheap mods to be had with the "T" is toooo good to pass up IMO.Enjoy

Do not worry about all the problems. According to Ford its normal and part of the character of owning one of their cars
