Makes you wish you held out buying a XR6T in january when I could have waited and got the new version, oh well

Ford will have the most technically advanced automatic transmission in an Australian-made car when an updated Falcon goes on sale in October.

In a major coup, Ford's performance and luxury models will be available with a six-speed automatic transmission - the first time such a gearbox has been fitted to a locally made car.

Good sheet. :msm:

Presumably this gearbox will be able to handly goodly amounts of power. I can hear hundreds (or even thousands) of forum readers now getting a man-bulge 'down there'.

And the juicy thing is that Expensive Daewoo still run that old 4-speed automatic which theyve run for a long time. Its old, strongish (I believe) but very very basic despite the dirty great huge bloody name they give it on the HSV website to make up for its technological limitations - "HSV performance calibrated Turbohydramatic HMD 4L65E heavy duty 4-speed electronic automatic".
