I have not customed tuned as yet, this will happen in two weeks. I'm also interested to know if the custom tune fixes this?

boomer01 Member 53 Member For: 20y 7d Posted 01/04/05 06:30 AM Share Posted 01/04/05 06:30 AM I have the same occurrence. Upon cold start, the rpm's are between 2000rpm and 2500rpm for approx. 3 seconds. It then settles from there.I re-flashed the Ford factory tune back in to see how high rpm gets upon a cold start with the stock tune. Not as many revs - peaks between 1500rpm and 1800rpm for a few seconds and then drops back.Would like to know if the higher revs are an issue with the modified pcm tune (and a cold motor)?Cheers! Not good when as I leave work and its a 40 Zone And mine was Flashed & Custom Tuned Yesterday...

I was thinking of getting it done also, after I get an exhaust & cold air intake. Edited 01/04/05 06:46 AM by chrisss
