I just fitted my 2nd CAI today and have just got back from the first spin... woo hoo

there is so much more low power I can't believe it.

Thanks to both Geea and XtRmn8 for there previous posts on the subject and helpful step by step guides. :kissmy:

It was all just too easy.

Now I am hooked on mods again like the last car I loved (65 Mini Cooper S) :pinch: and spent almost every weekend tweaking it..........

I better start looking for a new CAT now. :smilielol:

Yeah there is heaps of stuff on here about CAI's but most people will tell you to cut a hole in the airbox, attach a xr8 snorkel to it with a pipe connector from bunnings and stick it under your headlight, cost ya $60-$70 and give you better gains than the $300+ SS inductions job.

DITTO... and this looks factory... most people would not pick it :gooff: pm SIXRT, he has the link to it with a step by step guide and photos of the install... it took me about 1 hour to do mine. This option looks the best out of all the home made jobbies IMHO :spoton:

The guys are correct, the SS Indutions CAI is crap on the XR6T. A second CAI is a much more efficient and cheaper alternative.

HERE is a link to my first one. The pics don't work (it's an old thread). I didn't use the XR8 snorkle but it's just as good with or without it. Its personal preference.

I did fit a SS inductions type CAI, can I also add a second intake to take air from bumper ?

I have also got the SS induction setup long with the XR8 under headlight setup. and I can tell you with the 100mm opening it just fits.

I just did the mod tonight... $38 cold air induction and 2 hours fiddling around and I have noticed a considerable improvement... Interesting to see what she does down the quarter on wednesday night :D
