I had a rim go back and forth to Ford Melbourne about 3 times before getting this answer!!!!!!. Funny how the mark 2 came out with different rims.......Has anyone with a mark 2 had problems yet??? I was planning on keeping them for a spare set but looks like im gonna need new tyres. They are only split on the inside walls. Heres some pics

There was a recall done regarding the sidewall splits which is exactly what you have.

I was considering getting some replacement 3000s but I think I'll pick another brand next time.

Posted 17/04/05 11:41 AM Share Posted 17/04/05 11:41 AM Just checked mine.... 2 out of four with a split across the tread almost identical. Don't know how I've missed those.Looks like I'm on the way back to not only complain about the recent "warranty upagrade flash" , but also the tyres.... MYV8 Member 12 Member For: 20y 2m 22d Posted 18/04/05 07:05 AM Share Posted 18/04/05 07:05 AM I had both problems on my ute. Three tyres had inside wall splits and across tread split other one just across tread. After heated discussion with dealer got four new ones including fitting and balance at 11,000kms totally free. Some people I know were told to take it up with Dunlop/Beurepaires and they ended up paying either pro-rata or fitting and balancing. The way I see it if they are the original tyres the issue is with Ford and if they have an issue with Dunlop that's their problem.I have pics but do not know how to resize or post them. :cussing:
