Even my solicitor said that as well and he hasnt even been there. But you cant point fingers. A.Q.I.S is quarintine by the way.

Not quite that easy in Australia to just blanket check everyone that works for the company. However, if there was some other facter that made one employee stand out from the others (ie A loose comment to another employee, etc).Best of Luck Joe, with a crime this high profile you will have the best working on it. If only the police were allowed to pursue if they saw them!

Posted 02/04/05 09:22 AM Author Share Posted 02/04/05 09:22 AM O.K Guys I have an update. My partner and I were looking around the area where one of the cars were found and we stumbled onto a block of units with an underground carpark. We noticed a white 1999 model Nissan Skyline GT-T and thought that it looked a bit out of place in the visitors carpark with a bit of dust over it. My mate jumped out of the car and started looking for a rego label as the car had number plates. He couldnt find any label. So we rang the police who we now know on a first name basis and told them about the car and plates etc... They ran the plates on the computer and found out they were stolen of a Nissan Pulsar. They came out immediately and had to break in the car since it was locked. Anyway the car was unregistered and just got complianced a month ago and was at the detailers on Parramatta Rd. Croydon when it got stolen alongside another car which was a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 6. Thieves broke into the workshop grabbed the keys out of the office and took off with two cars. Now on an interesting side note the buildings secretary/body corporate lady is a bit of a snoop and checks out everything. She said that the car has been there for at least 3 weeks and didnt look suspicious but then said there was another Skyline parked here earlier on in the week and we asked her what colour was it? She said it was a grey colour and she was upset with this person who parked this car as it had a car cover over it. Then she said I grabbed some paperwork out of it but it was all in Japanese. I asked her if she had it and she said Yes. So we grabbed it and went through it and it ended up being one of our cars. Then she said I might have taken a photo and we couldnt believe it and told her to email it to me ASAP. Anyway we made one man very happy and waited till he came and collected his car which is worth $35K and was untouched and unfortunately we are 3 days too late and might have got one more of our cars back. Excuse the spelling mistakes and the long story but I feel I am one step closer. That has been another long day. I have added the photo just in case. You never Know. How many cars have been reported stolen from that yard?? and STILL to not have any insurance??Here's a theory..The 'network' starts at the Quarantene office, where they 'order' certain cars to be detailed at a certain cleaners... then the ball rolls.Could be very highly organised, and go pretty deep, but it's a huge industry ( imported hi-po cars )on another note..... regarding the news article.. How are the R32's fetching 55k?? over here in Perth, they can be had for 22/25k, even modified ones..55k for an R33 GTR maybe, but certainly not a 32?? Hope they find these low lifes!!! But no matter how tempting it is, don't confront any suspects and take the law into you own hands!!! Easy to say, I know....and man it must be tempting to cause some serious harm to this scumbags!!!!I know it does not compare...... I had my '98 Nissan 200SX stolen from Stanmore in 1999 and it was found in a really dodgy unit complex in Bankstown (no offence to any residents of Bankstown, but this part of the world gives me the creeps) . Car was found sitting on the brake rotors, they scratched the paint with some gang insignia (???)and took the stereo, bits of trim and the apexi boost control unit (but not the wiring!!!). All up around $20k (no jokes) to get the car back on the road. The car was insured and luckily I was not out of pocket.I really hope you get all of your cars back and that you are not financially worse off either!!!Keep up the great work and pursue all available options to you.....and thanks again for keeping us all posted on this.
