He had a prang in a park the other day at 40 KPH and hit a tree with three others in the car. He is going to be chareged by the police with "drving with undue care and attention". All passengers were not hurt. He broke his leg. Has anybody got any ideas on what the penalties could be?QLD by the way. cheersDallas Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/16586-driving-charge/ Share on other sites

Remind me, but aren't parks where kids go and play! Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/16586-driving-charge/#findComment-235749 Share on other sites

Or did he run off the road into a park? If he wasn't on a public road he can't be charged with that offence. But there are still other offences he could face so ... it's a no win situation for him I'm afraid. As for the penalty, in NSW it would be three months cancellation but who knows in QLD??? Things may have changed though.Dazza. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/16586-driving-charge/#findComment-235803 Share on other sites

It really comes down to how good of a mood the judge is in, and also if it is an area where the judge sees alot of d!ckheads who street race, do burnouts etc. They have a much less tollerence for any sign of stupidity behind the wheel in these areas. He can expect anywhere from 6-12 month suspension of licence and anywhere north of $500 fine.
