I did mention before that there was not power increase in normal conditions, but I have notice when the weather is cooler, the power increase is greater than before. As also stated previously, I wasn't looking for a power gain, just consistency through different ambient temperatures. I have a feeling I might pick up a neddy or 2 when I fix that upper hose, as it's kinked like a *beep*. For diameters of hosing required, It's in this thread somewhere, but the length is at leat 12cm long. As for where to get the hosing from, I'm not sure as I'm waiting for payday to go on another spending spree. So if anyone knows where to get this stuff from, could you please advise. I also had to weld apeace of 1/2 inch pipe on to the pipe to hook up the preasure sencer, behind the light. hope this helps.

You're right, what a mission! It certainly is not a simple bolt-in replacement. After driving the car a few hundred kms to go riding on Sunday, it does feel a little stronger now. However, it is booked in with Lachlan back at Chiptorque Thursday afternoon for a retune. One thing I have noticed is that it is running a little hotter then it used to. The new 'cooler does take up an awful lot of space so this is understandable. I have ordered a cooler thermostat from BPT to try to combat this a little.I will post the re-tune results after Thursday.

The car should be trying to stay at the thermostat level all the time, if it is running hotter wouldnt this suggest it cant cool the car with the thermosatat working properly? This would suggest to me that you need either an additional fan, or some other way of getting more air through the radiator?

Although, flow through the intercooler is critical and the PWR 'cooler is much more efficient then the standard one. For higher boost levels, it is even more efficient - hence the law of diminishing returns (the opposite here). Like saleen said, I didn't do this for more power but rather consistent power on hot days. If I pick up some neddies along the way then it really is a bonus. With the more efficient 'cooler, it just means that the turbo now does not have to work so hard to push the same amount of air through - hence, less heat, more bang. With the thermostat, instead of opening at some 93 degrees, I am getting one that opens at I think, 87 degrees. This effectively helps with reducing heat soak. If the heat can start to be dissipated earlier, it effectively helps lower the maximum temp reached by the cooling system. I hope this makes sense? If you need a practical example of this, simply remove your thermstat from your car and go for a drive. You will be amazed at how cold it runs - it will never get to operating temperature which is very bad for your car. The standard cooling system is very effective, but not as much so when you block the flow with a new intercooler. So with a new thermostat that opens at a lower temp, this will help the motor run cooler and avoid heat soak. Trust me, it does work.

I have notice my car runs a bit hotter going up steep mountains but actually runs cooler(very close to the first notch) on steady cruising. I've just done a 3800km trip from NSW South Coast - Deniliquin - Melbourne - Adelaide - Mildura - Back to Deni, and the engine temperature was perfect the whole time. Small brush with the law, but she(yes, SHE) let me off. Good old Blueprint still attracts fair bit of attention. I will put it in today and drive the car to the Gold Coast and around for work tomorrow (retune tomorrow arvo at ChipTorque) so will report back on the running temp after that mod. It should work an absolute treat.....
