It has been pointed out to me by someone who shall remain nameless that I could be accused of being rude in not posting this here, as well as over at FordForums, so I would like to correct that now if the moderators have no objection…

3FB (this is not short for 3 Fat Bastards BTW) are holding our next event in Sydney on ANZAC Day (Friday, 25th April). We will be meeting at 10am at the Westbound M4 service center (Caltex/Maccas/Red Rooster), and leave there at 10:30am SHARP for our destination of Mt Panorama Bathurst.

We will head up over the mountains and out to Lithgow, were we will make a quick stop, then we will continue on to Bathurst to meet up with some of the locals for lunch and to spend the afternoon ‘cruising’ around Mt Panorama and the town itself.

A few of us will then be stopping for an overnight stay and pub-crawl, while the rest will be doing an evening run back to Sydney.

I’m sorry for the reasonably short notice for those of you that aren’t also FordForum members, in future I’ll make sure I post a notice here as well when we organize these things.

As you’ll see from the list of attendee’s below, it’s not so much a car thing as a chance to socialize with other forum members over a good feed and a few drinks, with the added bonus of Mt Panorama thrown in…

The confirmed starters so far;

JR - BA XR6

3Toed - EF GLi

DannyQ - XW Fairmont

AusXH - XH Pano

Strider - AU XR6

Dark Horse - AU XR6

Bluedriver - AU XR8

Blurter - AU XR6

Ken Oath - AU ???

XR6HP01 - AU XR6

Strider's mate with no name - EF Fairmont V8

And the advance party Bathurst contingent;

Donut King - Land Barge

Mother Nature - XF Wagon or ED Futura

xr8_mate - too young to care

SM (formerly XR8SAM?) - BA XR6

The ANZAC Day long weekend is also a confirmed DOUBLE DEMERITS PERIOD and we'll have at least 1 P-Plater with us, so the cruising speed will be topping out in the 90-99km/h range. With the exception of the first section on the M4 to the foot of the mountains, this shouldn't be a problem for anyone.

Intermediate meeting points will be discussed on the day in case we get separated, and please bring along your CB if you have one (though I do not).

Once again, any and all FordXR6Turbo.com members are most welcome to come along, we want as many attendees as possible, and our lack of social graces are more than made up for by our enthusiasm.
