Or better still just a custom order with whatever options the buyer specified.I'd like to see performance in the order of 5.5 to 100kph and 13 flat for SS1/4. Built to do nothing but 0-100's and 1/4s consistently - day in and day out.The engine has the potential to produce the goods. Its a great engine in a great car, but the GT NEEDS TO LOSE SOME WEIGHT.If they could drop 200kgs then the 0-100 times and 1/4 mile times WILL drop SIGNIFICANTLY!Just to prove my point, take a look at the XR8 and the VY SS. Both run basically identical times 0-100 even though the SS gives away 25kW and 35Nm of torque!! - but the XR8 is 200kgs heavier!!!!!! Imagine if the XR8 and SS were the same weight?? the XR8 would SH*T all over the SS!!!!In other words the GTHO with a powerful engine, (400+ kW) and with a lighter body will blitz the hell outta anything else availiable!! Unfortunately, Ford Aust have a reputation for making heavy cars. No doubt there is a cost involved for producing a car 200kgs lighter, but whoever wants it bad enough will pay for it so long as its "reasonable".GO FORD!!!!
