That is trully beyond belief.  Brian, that sort of power is soooooo far beyond world class super car levels it's not funny.  Will you be able to register it for street use mate?

I'm gobsmacked

Thanks Dave. It is for street use, although the boost may be turned down, depending on traction (or lack of).

Brian

Brian, very impressive. You are to be commended for your patience and vision with your T. If I was without mine for that long I think I would pull my hair out!

I understand it's for the road but it would be great to get it down Calder just to put the fear of god into some poeple, as well as attending the odd dyno day to crush some ego's.

I think there is a que waiting for a spin. I know with over 400hp how scary my car can be, at your sort of levels is just plain uncomprehensible in a road car.

Mate congrats again, well done to Simon for having the vision and skill as well, I cannot wait to see and hear about the finished product. :spoton:

Hi Brian,

How are you ? Anyway was in Nizpro today checking the progress on my car, and did a bit of checking on your beast. Making some serious mumbo on the rollers, and it was nice to see it in one piece again.

I took a few pics under the bonnet, and must say was surprised at how unassuming it all is. Apart from the heat shield bump covering the extractor manifold, and the big intake it all looks very neat and tidy, without being over the top. ie not much different to a standard Nizpro Stage II. The intake pipe to the turbo inlet is huge, it looks like it's 5 inches or so.

Would you mind if I posted a few of the pics ? Or do you want me to email them to you ?

BTW mine's in the shop getting a full Stage III engine build, and should be coming out towards the end of the month. Should be good for over 400 rwkW or so. I know, it's a bit mild for your tastes......

Cheers

Robin.

Hi Robin,

I don't mind you publishing a few pics, as I have not seen the car for 6 months.

I heard about your car... very spirited driving no doubt ... 400+ rwkw is quite OK, and I think Simon will now start doing more of them.

As good as the TSI is, maybe you should also change over to the Edit at the same time.

thanks,

Brian

These are some quick snaps I took on Friday. They are just of the engine bay and in particular the turbo area (not that you can see much !!!). The turbo is much larger than the factory turbo and appears to have a five inch intake port.... Unfortunately you can't see inside the engine where a vast amount of work has gone in, to make it all hang together.

I was looking at the dyno charts, and the power just keeps climbing. No dip on the end @ 7500 rpm. Simon says 650 rwkW is not out of the question. What I thought was nice is you have over 300 rwKW @ under 4000 rpm. The chart was done in 5th gear, so if it were done in the standard 4th gear, that would mean the RPM for that power would be some 10% or so lower. Very nice.

Cheers

Robin.

Thanks Robin.

For those wondering what’s underneath the heat shielding it should look something like this.

These extractors are largely responsible for very good top end power, and are very carefully hand-made. External wastegate is used for boost control.

There is a massive air filter hidden under the guard, to get cold air, and 5" inlet pipe to the turbo.
