Guest Guests Posted 19/06/07 11:04 AM Share Posted 19/06/07 11:04 AM Sorry to hear mate... The beast will be dearly missed by many forum members I dare say Good to hear that no one was hurt as that's the main thing I'm sure if you decide to part it out, tou'll have no trouble getting rid of everything as all parts are top quality and the car has a very solid reputation.Good luck

I did something very stupid 3 weeks ago; ran a tune on the street that was way over the top; wrapped the car around a tree; happened way too quickly, before I had a chance to get used to the car again, or detune it for the street.Luckily neither myself, nor my 2 nephews in the car with me, were injured.I can afford to wear a financial loss, but the thought of harming people dear to me is something that I don't know how I'd ever cope with.It shows that no matter how old you are, or how good you think you are, the worst can happen in the blink of an eye. So be very careful guys!Brian , this is bad news indeed but I think the passage above says it all best. Some of us can understand this fully having been there first hand Given Brian's experience on the road and on the track, this unfortunate incident should serve as a timely reminder to those out there who have significant power that IT CAN happen to you.All you guys new to the scene who are modding up big time as more of these cars become financially viable to buy and mod, please take care I have been in a similar situation myself and trust me you can be lucky, but the bounce of the tree can go the other way as well.A mate of mines son unfortunately bares testimony to this.Brian, sorry for the hijack, but I am really pleased that no one was hurt.It is unfortunate that we will not see xr6t8u again in it's previous guise, but to me the real upside is that others can learn from this.It takes a lot of guts to post something like this up so that others can benefit. I tips me hat to you mate.Things happen for a reason and it will all work out for the best.Cheers and good luckJulian

Glad to hear that you are all ok.As you said - the car is just an object - as much as I am sure you liked it - it can be replaced.Get a second hand F6 mate - and give it a birthday - that's what you were going to do anyway wasnt it?I have driven insane powered cars on race tracks and the street - and know exactly what you mean - an instant snap out - and it can be all over very easily. For the gouhl in us all - are you going to post any pictures of the poor beast?
