Below I post detailed pictures of the CV joints, how they fit together, and where they can fail.

You can see the crack that is starting to develop in the centre piece, with what was a brand new part after a very short time. This is an accident waiting to happen, and why my car won’t be driven until something much stronger is installed…. Still waiting!!!

Interesting to see the inner race failed in the same spot mine did. My money is on upgrading this part of the CV will eliminate failures

CV's are holding us up.

Have you seen the one's that Spiro is having fitted to his car, those cv's with the factory lsd should hold up on the street, you planning on racing this car or just as a cruiser.

Let you in on a little secret,

Standard CV's will hold up on the the street boy's. Just don't run very sticky rubber or attempt to launch too hard. I never broke them with 560+rwkw's on the street or for that fact even on the track, but I did launch like a *beep* at 3psi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All it depends on is what youuuuuuuuuuu want!!!!

Regards

Spiko

Broke 2 cv's while the car was stock, on the street. Got the car modded and scattered a cv across the wsidw start line on 19"dunlop sp9ooo's. Within 3 weeks of that I broke another on the street, now I have no need to worry as I'm about to loose my licence for a very very long time.
